Quotes for today

March 29, 2009

If we approach adversities wisely, our hardest times can be times of greatest growth, which in turn can lead toward times of greatest happiness…

The dial on the wheel of sorrow eventually points to each of us.  At one time or another, everyone must experience sorrow.  No one is exempt…

These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are precisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character, and increase our compassion for others…

While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude.
                                                         –Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

It’s just been one of those days…I’m waiting for those tears to be returned.

I really love this quote. I think it’s true about the tears being returned in the future. It’s a beatuiful expression. Something that has helped me a lot lately, too, is the talk on hope by President Uchtdorf in the last conference. Also, a scripture I read recently that helped is D&C 50:40-44.

Hope your day gets better soon.

I am sorry. It makes me feel sad to know that you are sad. Hope your rainbow is coming soon.
