The tree 2009

December 23, 2009

It’s kind of fuzzy, but I like the glowing effect.

These are some of my favorite ornaments:

. . . . the glittery snowflakes

. . . . the old-fashioned Santa puzzle ornaments which were a gift from my parents for our first Christmas

It’s kind of funny that I collect old-fashioned Santa images, considering we don’t really even “do” Santa here.

. . . . other old-fashioned ornaments

. . . . closest thing to a cello on my tree

. . . . my felt gingerbread boy which was a present from my uncle one year

. . . . and of course, our Salt Lake Temple ornament, a reminder of our wedding

We got this angel tree-topper as a wedding present.  She used to have wings, but they were ugly quilted-satin things and one was bigger than the other one, so I finally just cut them off.

LOL! I love it that you didn’t like the wings, so you cut them off. A gutsy move that worked. I can’t imagine her with big satin wings.

    Merry Christmas!!

We skipped the tree this year, we’ll have one next year, hoping our two little ones will be tamer. 🙂

We had only a few gifts but they are going to receive them Befana style (at the foot of the bed), as it is the tradition in Italy, but we couldn’t wait until Jan. 6th, so we’re mixing the traditions a little. My oldest took forever to fall asleep because he heard that Santa was coming and was all excited. 🙂
