Homeschool Field Day

June 2, 2010

It was a gorgeous day today and just perfect, weather wise, for a field day with a group of local homeschoolers.

The kids were split up according to age and rotated through four different groups.  They got to play kickball, play with a parachute, play with bubbles and water balloons, and have different races (running, wheelbarrow, like an elephant, like a kangaroo, like a crab.)  Those were the greatest to watch.  Here is D walking like a crab.

DH was able to go with us and followed D’s group around.  I spent time with this happy little guy who liked having his bare feet in the grass (none of the others did as babies!) and was determined to drool over his entire blanket. Bleh!

We all had so much fun!  We missed field day last summer.  Come to think of it, we missed a lot last summer.  We didn’t go out much at all because of morning sickness and zero energy on my part and then quarantine due to A’s swine flu.  I’ve been putting together a list of field trips pertaining to Utah history that we can take on DH’s days off this summer.  I think it is sufficient to say that we’ll be making up for last year’s lack.
