6 months

July 7, 2010

How has it been 6 months already?  I hate to say it, but he is growing up!

Just in the past week, he’s started rolling over from his back to his tummy, and now he rolls over…and over and over and over and gets stuck places, like in the corner and up against furniture.  He’s eating real food (if rice cereal and pureed pears can be called real food) and as of yesterday his bottom two teeth are coming in, which explains the drool…

and the bad sleep we’ve had lately.  It’s hard to sleep when your gums hurt, poor kid.  With newfound mobility, it’s also hard to stay still in bed long enough to sleep.  He just wants to move and roll around.

On the bright side, he has the loveliest blue eyes.  We still love the hair as well, although it’s finally starting to lay down somewhat.

He loves to taste everything he can get his hands on.  He still loves to take baths and he loves to look in the mirror with Mommy.  He loves being outside and tolerates being hauled around by his brothers.  He prefers Mommy and Daddy and loves to squeal (as I’m sure everyone at church can attest.)  I always say I love the new newborn stage the very best and there is a tender place in my heart for those first weeks when my baby is so tiny and helpess, but it is just so much fun to watch them change into each new stage.  Already it’s hard to remember our life before E and we’re looking forward to watching him continue to progress and grow.

Six months already?! Wow that went fast.

Teething tablets are a staple here! And they really do work wonders.

He is soooo cute! I can’t believe how fast he’s grown, either! Seems like just yesterday he was still in your tummy. And he definitely looks like his brothers.

I have to laugh at your boys. I have D first for singing time. At least once he mentions that E is rolling, as well as some other random thing E does that makes him laugh (OK, to be honest he mentions it at least 3 times). Then D goes to class and C shows up. He has to tell me that E is rolling and a few other things that E does that are interesting (and he mentions it 5+ times). A usually makes one or two comments about E, but then sits quietly until he knows what he is supposed to be doing. They have such cute personalities and I love watching their love for E grow. You have some absolutely adorable boys!

On a side note, when I told Tae that we needed to go to the store to get more popcicles, she got very excited and yelled “BOYS COME OVER. PLAY OUTSIDE!”
