Gloucester Fisherman’s Memorial

September 28, 2011

On our way back from Maine, we drove out to Gloucester on the coast to see the Fisherman’s Memorial that overlooks Gloucester Harbor.  There are also plaques around the memorial that list all the names of those that have been lost at sea.  Interestingly enough, it’s about the same number as the town lost in WWII.  Those names were on another memorial we saw.

The boys had fun collecting seashells along the shore as well.

And of course they were fascinated by the drawbridge.

As for me, you just can’t beat Atlantic sea air.  I love it.

Utah just doesn’t smell like that!
