Beauty and Belief

March 2, 2012

While I’m grateful for the many museums around the world that put their galleries online, there’s just something about being able to experience art in person.  We’ve had some wonderful experiences taking the boys to art exhibits at BYU, particularly with the Holloway collection and the Carl Bloch exhibit last winter.  We’ve been able to see artwork that we would probably otherwise never get a chance to see in person.  The Museum of Art has done it again with another stunning exhibit.  Called “Beauty and Belief,” it is the “largest traveling survey exhibition of Islamic art ever assembled in the United States.”  Over 250 objects have been collected and will be on display in Provo until Sept. 29, 2012.  Admission is free!  I can’t wait to take the boys.

All the details can be found here.
