Disneyland California Adventure–day 2
We began our Disney day 2 in California Adventure. Again, it was weird to see Christmas trees up, especially next to palm trees and no snow. Blame Currier and Ives, but I sure do like white Christmases.

And yes, the day was just as gorgeous as the picture implies. I think it hit 70 before the afternoon was over.
After standing in a very long line for fast passes for the new Radiator Springs Racers (definitely the hottest ticket in town) we rode Soarin’ over California while E stayed with Poppa and got a new airplane to play with.
Looking toward Hollywood Land:
I think the most anticipated activity for the day was checking out the new Cars Land, which looks just like it does in the movie: Radiator Springs, the cutest little town in Carburetor county.

We laughed about the fact that we were eating ice cream in the shade in January. We couldn’t pass up Ghirardelli though.
Somewhere in there, E had had enough and put himself down for a nap in the stroller. He missed out on a few things, but was so happy and rested when he woke up and was able to enjoy the rest of the evening, which was late as we stayed for “World of Color,” a nighttime water, light, and musical spectacle. And it really was spectacular. (No pictures, but click the link for a short video excerpt.)
We also caught the Pixar Play parade with some of our favorite characters:
