Day 3 of our Disney adventure

January 17, 2013

We began day 3 with breakfast in the Rainforest Cafe as we planned out our last Disney day.

Poppa had a Disney gift card so he said everyone got to spend $25 dollars.  Predictably, D had a light saber by the end of day 1 as he was tempted by every single shop which they so conveniently place at the end of practically every ride.  C and A were much more patient and discerning and made note of everything they saw that they might possibly want, but by the end of it, they spent their money at the Lego store in Downtown Disney.  Really?? We come all the way to Disneyland to buy Legos?

The store was cool though and had some amazing Lego creations:

After breakfast and shopping, we made our way back to Fantasyland where everyone had to try their hand at pulling out the sword in the stone:

E wanted to be my buddy that day, probably so I wouldn’t go on any more rides without him.  So we rode the teacups,OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

and the Storybook Land Boats (one of my personal favorites for all the miniatures inside)

and the Casey Jr. circus train,

and the big train around the entire park.

After a fabulous lunch in New Orleans Square (on a side note I was really impressed with the food we ate, everywhere in the parks!) we headed back to California Adventure–

Where we saw The Muppets 3D, the Aladdin live musical show, and Turtle Talk with Crush.  E again fell asleep at some point in the afternoon, but woke up in the middle of Aladdin.  Poppa and DH took A and D on the Hollywood Tower of Terror.  You couldn’t have paid me to go on that one.  C didn’t think it sounded like fun either so we stayed with Grandma and E.  We were about ready to be done and head for home when E saw the trolley and let us know in no uncertain terms that we had to ride it.  So for one last ride, here they are:

OK, C is missing.  He stayed with Grandma and Poppa when we got on the trolley.  My word, it was hard to get everybody in one picture.  I think it only happened what, three times?  Here’s one I’ll end with:

We are currently planning a surprise trip to DL. I haven’t been since…I was 8 or so and know nothing. I’ll have to talk to you and get tips–especially on how to survive it with a toddler 🙂
Looks like you had a fun trip. Super cute pictures.

What a wonderful trip! I’ve actually never been to Disneyland. We live close to DIsneyWorld and never tire of the parks there. We go pretty frequently.
