Temple Square Lights 2013
We went to Temple Square last night to see the lights for family home evening (not at home.) It was one of the few nights this month where nobody had to be anywhere and it actually got above freezing yesterday. We went right at 5:00 when the sun was going down hoping to beat both the crowds and the super cold temperatures we’ve been enjoying lately.
The crowds weren’t bad at all, nothing like last Wednesday when I was performing on Temple Square, and the boys didn’t complain about being cold once although I think E was a little bit. I was freezing though. None of my usual cold weather layering gear fits right now, although I do at least have a down coat and wool socks kept my feet warm.
I think the boys have been playing with my camera because most of my pictures turned out grainy, but I tried. I think I take the same shots every year, but at least we can see the changes in the boys from December to December.
Testament to the fact it wasn’t terribly crowded yet: we got a front row spot by the life-size nativity for the telling of the Christmas story.
Then home for Danish butter cookies and homemade hot chocolate!
